Today I'm linking up with Tasia from Great Minds Teach Alike for some great technology tips and ideas for the classroom. Check out her site for some other wonderful ideas from other teachers!
My favorite site for a short 'brain break' and to get the kids moving is Go Noodle. It's a free site (woo-hoo!) that the kids love. It's especially fabulous for the younger kids as it provides some movement in between lessons.
When you log on, you get to choose the short exercises you want to complete. Some are just silly and fun, like Macarana Turkey, and some are more yoga-based. The site also keeps track of your exercises so you can chart your progress.
All in all, there's a great selection. Here are just a few:
Here's one of the site's characters that leads one of the exercises. My kids love him and his fabulous accent!
Check it out!
Oh how we love GoNoodle!!!! Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteTHanks for this tip!! I wish I had a projector in my room so my kids could see it. I have it bookmarked, though, for the future.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this! I just discovered Go Noodle a few weeks ago. My kids think it is funny but they love them. I love that I no longer have to take them through short exercise breaks. They hear me enough. *smile*
