Father's Day Activities

Father’s Day is around the corner and every year, I wait till it’s closer to the date and always end up feeling rushed.  This year, I got an early start on our Father’s Day activities!

If you’re interested in making these, you can grab them here.  There are 5 No Prep Activities (although the trophy does need a toilet paper roll!) to choose from and it allows the kids to write as little or as much as they want depending on their level.  There are also activities for uncles and grandpas for students who are making it for other male role models in their lives. Here are some of the activities we did:

We made trophies for our dads:

We created different acrostic poems:

Then, we created our dads:

We wrote books about our dads and grandpas too!
I loved their responses:

Tomorrow we are off to make the coupon book!

Enjoy your Father's Day!

S'MORES!!!
Summertime means campfires and BBQ’s.  There are just sometimes you feel like a s’more, but a fire is just not going to happen. This is a fantastic recipe for indoor S’mores.  It was definitely a hit the last time I made it.  With ingredients like chocolate, marshmallow fluff, and graham crackers, how can you go wrong?

I love these jars and the flower pot idea and they are so simple to make. I’m always looking for a place to put the utensils- so smart!

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best- and you can keep track of your drink!

Here's another ingenious idea from the same site.

Happy Summer!

Birthday Blowout!

I'm joining up to celebrate Ashley Lafleur's birthday and there are celebrations planned for the entire month of June.
So, join in the upcoming festivities!

Here’s what’s in store for the month:

·      Weekly freebies!
·      Five giveaways!
·      An extra giveaway!
·      Sales at my store as well!

This week's theme is End of the Year Products. You can have a chance at winning, Get Ready for Summer!  Included are two Emergent Readers, At the Beach and Under the Sea, for K-1 and lots of language arts and math activities aligned to the common core to finish up the year or to create a summer packet for the kids.

Enjoy and have a great start to summer!

This week’s theme is favorite teacher items I’d like to get for my birthday.

My ALL-TIME favorite item was a gift from a teacher mom.  She obviously knew it would come in very handy.  It’s a personalized stamper with Please Return to (insert your teacher’s name)’s Classroom.  I stamp all my books with it so when I lend out my books, they always make it back!  SUCH A TIME SAVER!

Another favorite item is personalized stationary.  I love Stationary Studio and the stick figure notepads.  The one below is my favorite because I can jot a quick note to parents and they obviously know who it’s from -- mine is a lot cuter than the sample!  I can never have enough paper to write on!

Other fun gifts are personalized jars, it’s fun to fill them with any of your supplies or stash of candy.
Hot/cold travel mugs and cups are great for both the warm and cold months in school!
